New Requirement for Tax Year 2024

All Advisors must provide a W-8 or W-9 form by December 31, 2024 to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance with tax laws.

  • W-8: For non-U.S. residents, this form helps the company determine if they need to withhold taxes on payments made to the contractor. It also helps the IRS track income that flows into and out of the U.S.
  • W-9: For U.S. residents, this form provides the company with the contractor's tax identification number (TIN), which is used to report payments to the IRS on Form 1099-NEC. This helps ensure that the contractor's income is properly reported and taxed.

Please note: If you have already submitted a form and are concerned you are still seeing the reminder on the top of your Advisor Dashboard, please do not be concerned! It is simply a reminder!
